| Who or What Leads to Technology Changes? |
As we are all living in the 21st century especially in a developed country, a lot of things are changing day by day. Be it technology, culture, infrastructure development, language or even the way we think. In just 10 or 20 years, we are able to use camera, texting, calling, calendar and even surfing the internet by using only one gadget, which is smartphone. Almost everything can be done through smartphone. Even the world is now at the end of our fingertips. All of the facilities that we are enjoying today are the impact of technology development. So who or what actually leads to its changes?
Here’s what I think. The answer is none other than human themselves. Human are the only creature in this world that have the ability which other creatures don’t possess; mind. We are able to think critically, making life decisions, working in a system, and other things. I think we are the reason that marks the changes of the technology advancement. We demand on something and other people tries to come out with things that could fulfill it. Mostly the reason why people come out with new innovation is to maximize human’s needs. Since we often question what if’s and how if’s, somehow it leads the critical thinker to think outside of the box which eventually resulted in the advancement, expansion and changes of technology. DeleteThe traditional meaning of the word technology is said to be the study of arts and crafts. The term referred to what, for instance, masons or painters should know in order to be good and qualified masons or painters (Singer et al. 1954). Technology is implicated in global climate change in various ways–as a source of the problem, a possible solution, and an instrument of measurement and analysis. I believe that perspectives from economics, sociology, and history provide powerful images of what technology is and does, but each image is only a partial picture. However, I believe that what leads to the technology change is caused by the global social change, the human satisfaction of what they need to be accomplished. Something that they think it is always not enough and we need more; human satisfaction. Therefore, they wanted to create more and more innovations that leads to technology advancement. During the industrialisation when The process of changing from a manual labor force to a technology driven labor force in which machines play a large role, that leads to people who works outside of the community, which causes to changes in gender. Although, work became centered and organised around machines but they are began to rely on machines instead of human workforce. Moreover, society started to take on and organised the information seriously, that proved if the technology was they only source of their survival. At the end, the society does not realise that they are already in the modernisation era, where they all are mostly depend and rely on technology.

I second your opinion. We might be the one who are behind the invention of these technologies. But somehow, we are becoming more dependent with our own creation thus making it looks like we both needs each other in order to satisfy our own needs.
Deleteyes I agree when you say human was the one who leads to changes. However, I would like to add something. Human keeps on wanting something to satisfy their needs.So for me, even though man kind does the work to make a change, the situation that they were or are in is actually contribute most for them to innovate something new. For example, after the second world war occurred, people became more intrigued to change their lifestyle. Europe was at the edge of downfall. Being in debt of billions of dollars, Europe government chose to rise back again by doing economic reconstruction. That was where modernization theory was very popular which concern on scientific planning, economic growth and technology. Machines were invented and had helped them to produce a vast amount of production in a short time. Maybe it is safe to say that the development of Europe was the pioneer of the modern gadget we are having now.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. Mankind needs something to satisfy their needs. The modernization theory is most probably the most accurate answer to this advancement. The situation that the human were in are the reason why they could come out with such needs thus eventually, leads in the creation of new technologies.

DeleteThe rapid change of technology affecting human lifestyle. Human always think to improve themselves by using technology. In addition, people also invented the technology to fulfill their needs. So in my opinion, human are actually lead the technology. This is because they have limited ability to achieve something out of the box.

DeleteI totally agree with that statement about human is the one that lead to the technology development. Technology and human being needs to go together, but as a human being we cannot let the invention of new technology overpower the human being. Human being is always greedy for the new invention for the purpose to maximize the needs but as a human being people need to know the limit of invention that produce so that human being not too dependent on technology, because technology sometimes can make people more indolent and end up technology leading the inventor.

People could make a lot of money with technologies. That's why each days more innovations are being created and resulting in a generation that is depending too much on the technology.

ReplyDeleteToday, technology has become one of the important thing in our life. Because of technology, we are living in easy way. Indeed,the technology itself create by ourselves. But definitely there are pros and cons of this advancement. The pro is almost everything we can do with technology and the con is we are the one that create the technology. In other words, we become lazy and too depend on the technology and now,we are living in the modernization.
